Assisted Living environments offer the first stage of care. These communities are actually rental communities not medical communities. However each Assisted Living provides assistance with activities of daily living including a very small amount of personal care service. More and more, residents of these facilities are aging and developing Alzheimer’s and other care dependent needs. Homecare referrals bring skilled services to this community as this is considered the “home”.
